As Director of IoT/AI/Smart Cities Ecosystem Expansion with Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), Cynthia Curry helps strengthen and expand Metro Atlanta’s IoT, AI, and Smart City ecosystems.
As a member of the economic development team, she helps local companies grow while attracting new business and investment to the region by promoting and strengthening Metro Atlanta’s position as a technological powerhouse. Cynthia leads IoT.ATL, a consortium of Atlanta’s thought leaders dedicated to driving collaboration between the business, government, civic, and educational ecosystems to create resilient and sustainable communities leveraging technology.
The IoT.ATL Living Labs program, launched in 2018, is an on-going initiative to leverage tech for good, and test and validate IoT/technology solutions that help ensure equity, inclusion, and sustainability in growing communities.
Cynthia lives in Decatur and has been in Atlanta for over 30 years. She has helped build Atlanta’s technology community for 20+ years by consulting with companies on talent acquisition and community engagement.
She serves as the Communications Liaison for Georgia Tech’s CDAIT (Center for the Development and Application of Internet of Things Technologies) and the TAG (Technology Association of Georgia) Mobility Board. She is a mom, wife, cyclist (road & MTB), runner, hiker, music lover, and food fanatic. Her passion for Atlanta and technology fuel her goal of helping Atlanta do great things.
A proven entrepreneur and growth enablement professional focused on helping organizations acquire select talent, build/manage successful recruiting programs and solve tough technical and marketing problems. I am currently a co-founder and partner of three successful business services firms out of Atlanta; eHire, LLC, Make & Build and Collective Insights.
During my career I have successfully started four professional services companies and one software firm, all requiring significant capital, creative organizational and start up development skills. Prior to my entrepreneurial career I ran regional sales organization for a Fortune 500 services firm in Atlanta, GA. I am an avid Golfer, sports enthusiast and overall general competitor.
