The Analytics Manager leads a Scrum team comprised of both onshore colleagues and offshore contractors. This position is also a product owner for the back portfolio of analytics packages and reports, and as such, will work closely with executives through managers to produce analytics that are relevant to the audience. The individual’s main contributions will be in translating the business needs into technical requirements that the team can implement, while also overseeing the team doing that development work. This team will work closely with a peer team with a complimentary portfolio and a data team that specializes in acquiring our data in a useable form.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify business needs and propose potential analytics approaches for solutions
Meets with the business stakeholders to understand their needs
Identifies solutions to those needs, whether it be creating a new deliverable, or integrating into an existing deliverable or process. This requires a deep understanding of existing capabilities both within the team and across the organization.
Leads a Scrum team comprised of onshore and offshore developers
Provides direct supervision to individuals including mentoring, performance management, and staffing decisions
Understands our quality assurance standards and process, and helps the team comply with these standards
As a member of the Analytics management team, participates in the discussion about new standards
Ensures the team documents best practices so lessons do not have to be learned more than once
Resolves project issues, mitigates risks, and manages scope change requests for all activities
Drives project deliverables and decisions to completion
Coordinates rollout activities
Ensures that the team is fully functional and productive
Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions
Shields the team from external interferences
Ensures that the process is followed, including issuing invitations to daily meetings, reviews, and planning/design sessions
Facilitates the daily meetings
Raises awareness of dependencies and blocks that are impediments to the project. Issues need to be prioritized and tracked. Remediation plan created and implemented for impediments in priority order
Adhere to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
Become knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participate in the internal controls self-assessment process.
Ensure concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology, MIS, or related field
3 years experience in analytics
3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server (TSQL query language)
Experience with and a fondness for Scrum
Experience with PowerBI (preferred) or similar
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with employees and customers of all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Ability to communicate status, solutions and concerns, disseminating information to key stakeholders
Availability to start the workday at 9 am eastern (earlier is fine)

Azure (SQL Managed Instance, Data Lake, Data Factory, etc)
Microsoft Reporting Services
Manage teams of up to 6 members
Manage offshore team members
Experience in the healthcare industry, specifically Revenue Cycle Management
