.NET Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified .Net, C#, MVC, Angular, Agile application developer. The successful candidate will join a dynamic project team developing and supporting a new system which utilizes state of the art technology. A positive attitude with a focus on results, excellent communication skills, proven analytical skills, the ability to work successfully with business partners and effective participation in a team environment are key to this position.

This position provides the opportunity for the individual to be involved in innovative system development efforts to manage our bulk commodities such as Ethanol, Crude, and Coal. There will also be opportunities to help improve distribution of our empty railcar fleet. The successful candidate will work closely with end-users. There are many opportunities for career growth and advancement. This position will require 24x7 support of a mission critical application on a rotating basis.

Education

4-yr college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Responsibilities

  • Develop system requirements based on user stories

  • Develop high quality code based on detailed designs that meet requirements

  • Create comprehensive documentation, conduct thorough testing, and follow defined change control processes.

  • Provide support for a mission critical application

  • Effectively communicate with end-users, co-workers, managers, and other stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Object Oriented design and application development (C# .Net, MVC)

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in application design and development using SQL and a relational database such as IBM DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server

  • Experience working with WCF, WebAPI, SOAP and RESTFUL models

  • Familiarity with application build and deployment tools, such as GIT and Jenkins

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent customer support skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills Preferred

  • Experience working with Angular

  • Experience in Agile development environment

  • Experience supporting mission critical applications

  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and strategies

  • Experience in enterprise applications monitoring
