The Customer Success Engineering Manager is a hands on team leadership position that is responsible for developing, nurturing and growing our technical teams and ensuring that they are able to "Get Stuff Done". As an Engineering Manager you will we responsible for one or more teams of engineers working on multiple client implementation projects. You will have some project involvement, whether as a primary technical lead, as a solution architect or as a consultant to the project team. We work with some of the worlds largest financial institutions to fight financial crime on multiple fronts and you need to be able to work with our internal teams and client teams to make sure the implementation is as painless as possible. You will interview, hire, train and grow Software Engineers and Technical Consultants to implement our systems. You will learn and use our best practices, but also develop and refine and improve on the practices and processes we have. 

  • Work with our clients to evaluate their needs, design solutions, develop and oversee best practices within the organization. 
  • Lead and guide development teams to deliver Feedzai products to customers. 
  • Hire, train and work to retain top software development talent and ensure that those that report to you will have a well defined career path meeting their personal growth needs. 
  • Review, develop and implement processes to make the technical solutions team highly efficient and predictable
  • Be an Agile Coach to team members and other groups in Customer Success. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years software development or Devops experience (Java Preferred) 
  • 2+ years leading technical teams in customer facing environments 
  • Process Driven: Able to help form and define engineering best practice and process development. 
  • Mentor and Coach: You have proven experience guiding others and helping them raise themselves to new levels 
  • Collaborator: You have a history of bringing people together to help solve problems, you would rather work on a team than alone. 
  • Servant Leader: Lead a team of engineers (8 - 12) and empower them to be successful in their projects and careers, 50% of the job is to make sure they can succeed. 
  • Hands on: This is a contributing role, you will be functioning as either a Technical Lead or Solution Architect for the Feedzai product line, understanding client needs and turning it into work items for the engineers to complete.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidate is someone who has been working for 5 - 10 years most likely, showing a progression of increasing responsibility both in technical abilities and in personnel leadership. This candidate would either be a first time person manager in this role, or it might be their second job as a person manager.

Ideally you will have lead engineering teams on customer facing implementation projects before or have some previous consulting experience. You will need to be well versed on project management practices and dealing with clients properly.

Our engineering managers are hands on and will be either scoping our solutions, or providing technical leadership to projects and teams. The ideal candidate will have a design background or strong technical skills.
