This company is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and manage our engineering team, responsible for the development of the  platform. You’ll report to and work directly with our CEO to develop and deliver the  software platform. 


  • Responsible for leading and managing the engineering team.

  • Work closely with the CEO and product & design team to ensure requirements are clear and executed on.

  • Develop code as an individual contributor that sets the bar for quality across the engineering team.

  • Spend about 80% of the time on architecture and writing code and remaining on day-to-day development and delivery management

  • Design and develop reusable frameworks, libraries, components, and global style sheets for the engineering team to consume.

  • Meet and collaborate with the product managers, stakeholders, UX teams, as well as the backend platform teams to define the scope and design the features.

  • Provide close feedback with the business unit to ensure the user experience is smooth, and the style is consistent and beautiful.

  • Run and write tests to ensure high-quality, defect-free code.

  • Set up metrics and alerts to analyze the usability and the user behavior.

  • Develop integrations with 3rd party libraries.




  • 5+ years of working experience (Senior level) at least 2 of which is in PHP development using Laravel or similar frameworks

  • Proficient browser side programming skills on both functionality and styling, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.

  • Expertise in server side development (REST API). 

  • Exposure to different UI frameworks, such as React, VueJs, Angular, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Real passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Masters would be a plus


  • Experience with Docker and Orchestration services such as AWS ECS

  • Strong background in data structure and algorithms

  • Domain experience in e-commerce or B2B  SaaS businesses would be a plus, but is not required
