Front End Software Engineer

 

Overview

In the role you will work in a fast-paced Scrum/Agile environment, supporting the Product Development team in the FinTech space. Utilizing keen understanding of standard coding practices, principles and design patterns to developing software applications across a variety of product lines. You will also maintain and update current software applications and participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

 

Requirements

  • 5+ Years or experience as a Front-end \ Middle Tier developer

  • Experience working in an Agile or Lean Software environment such as Kanban or Scrum

  • Experience working in an enterprise-scale SaaS product environment writing web services, business objects, and other middle-tier frameworks

 

We’d love to see

  • Experience with C# and/or VB.NET, MVC, and ASP.NET

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript · Experience with Responsive design and cross-browser development · Experience with RESTful Services and APIs

  • Understanding of current API architectural concepts (REST, Microservices)

  • Understand OOP, SOA, design patterns, and Test-Driven Development

  • Familiarity with relational databases, and SQL

  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience with consumer lending, lending and accounting software, high volume lead generation, payment processing, contact center and CRM systems preferred but not required

  • Experience with Distributed Version Control Systems (i.e., Git a plus)

  • Familiarity with SOLID design principles a plus

 

Responsibilities 

  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of new features and applications while following company coding standards and attention to quality.

  • Continuously help the team to improve by being actively involved in team meetings and ceremonies (retrospectives, demos, standups, etc.)

  • Determine new technologies to utilize, such as programming languages, frameworks, and plug-ins, based on company need

  • Work with the development team to execute unit- and integration-testing and resolve issues that are identified during the testing process.

  • Participate in code reviews, provide and apply feedback

  • Create automated unit tests.

  • Assist with testing systems in controlled, real-world situations before going live

  • Work within different development environments on multiple projects

  • Work across multiple release versions

  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis for escalated production issues
