Senior Unity Engineer

 

Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Unity Client Engineer with a passion for mobile gaming and aptitude for excellence, specifically relating to application performance.

 

This is a senior level role and the expectations for this role are high, thus technical contributions must be at the highest standard of excellence. You will be responsible for critical analysis, technical design, and development of client-side game systems and features within our mobile game client app. These systems include asset management, memory management, CPU & GPU performance, network connectivity to our gateway and content delivery service, and other low-level performance-critical systems.

 

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience

  • Solid knowledge of Computer Science and Software Engineering fundamentals

 

We’d love to see

  • Expertise in CPU and/or GPU optimization, preferably on mobile devices

  • Highly proficient in Unity, and Unity best practices

  • Expert level knowledge of C# or similar language

  • Proven ability to develop clear, elegant, and maintainable code

 

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to implement system improvements.

  • Deep-dive and provide critical analysis of existing systems, including recommendations to improve client performance

  • Technical design and implementation of performance-critical systems

  • Have a passion for games and sensitivity to the user experience

  • Deep-dive existing systems to optimize and refactor for performance, reliability, and maintainability as needed

  • Perform design and code reviews of other Engineers’ work
