As a Senior Telecommunication Engineer you will provide technical support to management in formulating policies with respect to telecommunications functions. 


You’ll be responsible for providing high quality telecommunications services and project management services to ensure the telecommunications infrastructure is designed, maintained and operated in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. 


Your responsibilities: 

  • Collaborates with IT team members, business partners, and various levels of staff to administer, troubleshoot, and support company communication systems and technology.

  • Provides effective and efficient administration of communication systems and services around telephone (UCaaS), unified communications, desk and softphones, mobile devices, and collaboration systems and technologies.

  • Helps plan, document, and coordinate changes and implement new additions to the communication systems architecture.

  • Analyzes capacity, performance, and trends of communication systems resources and proactively addresses potential capacity and performance issues.

  • Helps negotiate and manage agreements with service providers, carriers, licenses, and service plans.

  • Identifies, implements, and audits communication systems and services to ensure compliance.

  • Provides adequate documentation of communication system processes and procedures.

  • Participates in coordinating & supporting changes to the communication systems architecture.

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and reports on communication system incidents and key performance indicators.

  • Complies with software version control processes and procedures & coordinates upgrade.

  • Performs diagnostic testing and analysis of communication systems, services, and devices.

  • Developments and updates communication system training materials as necessary.

  • Helps prepare, document, test, & maintain disaster recovery processes & procedures.

  • Documents and updates Business Continuity Plan (BCP) components as required.

  • Tracks all communications costs and works with all third parties to identify cost avoidance opportunities.


Your experience includes 

  • Telecommunications based technical/management experience

  • Project management, consulting, and problem-solving skills

  • Managing  clients to tight implementation schedules, proactively set and maintain expectations, and maintaining good client relationships (mostly remotely vs. onsite)

  • Tracking and manage multiple concurrent implementation projects and related tasks at different project phases and for different clients, and coordinate the tasks across multiple internal teams and clients
