The position of the VP of Marketing is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the company's day-to-day marketing initiatives. As a growth stage company, we are investing in marketing as a key growth driver. We want a VP of Marketing who is strategic, collaborative, and results-driven. The person in this role will partner with our executive team on growth strategy and bring energy, creativity, and focus to our company. 

 

You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team members to identify and execute companywide marketing opportunities, communicate initiatives, and present new opportunities. While leading our marketing efforts, you will make critical decisions on building long term brand awareness, branding, and product positioning.
 

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
 

Our mission is to reinvent an easier, faster, smarter work-to-cash cycle to help accounting firms save time, speed up cash flow, and deliver a superior client experience through our platform.
 

As VP of Marketing, you will:

  • Lead our marketing function and team

  • Collaborate on strategy and drive cross-functional initiatives

  • Build our brand

  • Cut through the noise

  • Generate pipeline and contribute to sales

  • Build a world-class marketing organization

  • Hold a position on JDR Team, and join regular meetings as requested by the

  • CEO.

  • Design digital pathways and real-world experiences that make it easy and exciting for

  • customers to learn how to work with us

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create institutional awareness 

  • Work with the Executive team to ensure all marketing-related materials are in line with the company vision.

  • Manage marketing budget, metrics, and planning, including any outsourced marketing support agencies.

  • Develop marketing strategies for new revenue opportunities.

 

Position Requirements for this role:

  • 5+ years of a combination of leadership and Executive Team-level experience, preferably in a rapid growth oriented environment

  • Experience leading training efforts

  • Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers is required

  • A BS/MS Degree in Marketing or a related field is required

  • Experience leveraging marketing automation and specifically Account Based

  • Marketing platforms is required

  • Strong decision-making skills, confidence, and the ability to see things through to the end

  • Knowledge of the professional services industry is a plus

  • The ability to travel (up to 50%) is required

 

 

We’re a team of interdisciplinary do-ers who’ve come together to solve long-overlooked practice management, invoicing, and payment problems in the accounting industry. At accounting firms, the process by which a firm prepares and sends a bill to clients and then collecting payment from clients is called the “work-to-cash" cycle. And for most firms this the process is slow, manual, offline, ungoverned, costly, and frustrating (for staff and for clients).
